Biography

Michaele di Miceli is a Corleone native resident, the son of Pietro di Miceli and Giovanna Pennino. Michaele is named after his maternal grandfather.

Michaele marries Leoluchina Rizzo, daughter of the late Paolo and the living Paola Rizzo, on 22 June 1760. His father has died by this time.[1]

Open issue: No marriage has been found for Leoluchina's parents in Corleone, 1677-1764. A search for Leoluchina's baptismal record is under way. 01:23, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

Michaele and Leoluchina have at least four children: Pietro (c. 1767), Paolo (c. 1770), Bernardo (c. 1775), and Gaetano (c. 1778).

I estimate Pietro is born by 1767, twenty years before he marries. Pietro is named after his paternal grandfather, as is traditional for the first born son.

I estimate Paolo is born around 1770, ten years after his parents marry, and second in birth order of his brothers. Paolo is named after his maternal grandfather.

I estimate Bernardo is born around 1775, twenty years before he marries.

I estimate Gaetano is born around 1778, twenty years before he marries.

Pietro marries Lucia Raneri (also spelled Raineri) on 29 November 1787.[2]

Bernardo marries Gioachina Bartolotta on 12 January 1795. His parents have both died by this time.[3]

Paolo marries Maria Gammanta on 4 October 1795.[4]

Gaetano marries Concetta Mangiameli on 18 February 1798.[5]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Michelangelo by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Michelangelo:
